Campaign Member Field Mapping

Introduction

• By default, when adding or updating Campaign Member records, the only field you set is the Campaign Member Status.
• But there are many scenarios where you'd like to add additional details to the campaign member record.
• To cover this, we now enable you to set campaign member values directly from Campaign Audience Builder.
• You can either enter fixed values or map record fields that then dynamically populate the campaign member fields.

Functionality

• There's a new button available when adding audience results to a campaign +Set Campaign Member Field.

• This adds a new input section with Field and Field Mapping.
• Field: Select the Campaign Member field you want to update.
• Field Mapping: Map the input that should be stored in the field. You can click "Enter Fixed Value" to enter a fixed value. Otherwise, you have to select a field.

• Mapping fields is not just limited to, for example, Contact fields.
  • You can also access the chain of parent records, like Contact > Account > Owner.
  • And you can utilize the data graph feature. This allows you to map specific values of records in your audience—for example, gift transactions. Then you could map the gift transaction amount to a campaign member field.
